Publishing House “Azbuka” was founded in 1995 year in Saint-Petersburg. Nowadays it is among five leading publishing companies in Russia, the biggest in Saint-Petersburg and North-West region. The main “Azbuka” publishing activity is connected with Russian and foreign classic literature, modern native and translated literature, juvenile literature, illustrated dictionaries and historical and cultural enchiridions.

Among authors that are exclusively represented by “Azbuka” in Russian language such writers as Vladimir Nabokov, Sergei Dovlatov, Milan Kundera, Patrick Süskind, Sasha Sokolov, Milorad Pavić, Maria Semyonova, Erlend Loe, Nickolai Frobenius, Igor Efimov, Irjhi Groshek, Tadeusz Konvicki, Holm van Zhaichik, Tove Jansson, Lemony Snicket, Brian Jacques and etc.

Every year “Azbuka” publishes more than one hundred book series and total print of independent projects is over ten million copies. Many “Azbuka” publishing projects are awarded by prestige Russian premiums and diplomas.
