Gars Telecom is happy to announce the release of the cloud services that are now part of its products portfolio. Since August 2012 Gars Telecom is offering Infrastructure as a Service (Iaas), Backup as a Service (BaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS).

The new services are based on the premium technological platform DataLine. According to Maria Kretova, one of the product developers, it took several months since early 2012 to produce a beta version that was launched in spring. The test period let the workgroup finalize the integration of billing systems, adjust the interaction between company’s internal departments, collect, and analyze the feedback from the clients’ IT-managers involved in product testing.

What really make cloud technologies superior to the conventional model of in-house hardware and software resources are instant scalability, no hardware to purchase, reduction of the costs that are not specific to the core business, availability of resource-intensive and costly applications, — Michael Sergeev, Marketing Director at Gars Telecom, explains. — In addition, the provider’s responsibility is fixed in the SLA, whereas the responsibility of any company’s in-house IT staff is limited to their salaries.

The first customer of Gars Telecom Cloud services became a federal perfumery & cosmetics company.
