What should I do if the telephone service is not working?

There may be several reasons for the lack of incoming and/or outgoing calls. Various reasons require different approaches to the solution. 

In addition, the cause of the problem and its solution depend also on the technology of the provided voice service. If you are connected through a voice gateway, the following steps will be suitable for you. 

  • If you have voice gateway of Gars Telecom, you can independently verify its operability:
  1. Restart the gateway: unplug it from the power outlet, wait for a few seconds, then insert back.
  2. If this didn't solve the problem – call our helpdesk.
  • If you don't have the voice gateway of Gars Telecom, but you have your own mini-PBX 
  1. Connect your analog telephone directly to our lines, and check whether the problem is solved.
  2. If the problem remains to exhist – check if there is a signal. If yes – call our helpdesk for support. If no – remove and reinsert the cable of the telephone. Check visually whether there is any damage of the cable from the phone up to the telephone jack. If this either didn't help – contact our Gars Telecom service for help  
  3. If the problem hasn't been solved after the direct connection of the phone, then the problem is in the mini-PBX. In that case – please contact the company that serves your PBX.
  • If you don't have your own PBX, follow these steps:
  1. Pick up the handset of the phone, check whether there is a signal?
  2. If yes – call the customer service.
  3. If no – check the state of the equipment. To do this, remove and reinsert the cable out of the phone. Check visually whether there is any damage of the phone cable from the phone up to the telephone jack.
If the test didn't bring any results – call our help desk.
